Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-23

1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of the app LithoCanvas, provided by Ebrahim Seyfi (Senorit, Seeschwalbentwiete 23, 22119 Hamburg). The app is intended for people aged 18 and over.

2. Service

LithoCanvas is a mobile application for AI-assisted identification of minerals and artworks and for managing a personal stone collection. You need an Android device running Android 11 or newer. Identification and cloud synchronization need an internet connection; the collection and manual entries also work on the device without one.

3. Free Use

After registering you can use 5 identifications free of charge, once per person. Your email address must be confirmed for them, or you sign in with Google; we do not accept throwaway or forwarding addresses at registration. The allowance does not renew. If you delete your account and register again within 12 months with the same email address or Google account, the free identifications you already used still count. Within 30 days one internet connection can use at most 100 free identifications per IPv4 address and at most 25 per IPv6 /64 prefix, also across several accounts (privacy policy, Section 4.11). Every photo the identification answers counts as one identification, even when no stone or artwork is recognised; errors where no answer arrives do not count. Checking the same photo again does not count a second time. You can use the collection and manual entries without a plan.

4. Plans, Payment and Cancellation

For more identifications and cloud sync there are the plans Explorer, Collector and Curator, each monthly or yearly. The app shows scope and price before you buy. Prices are final prices including VAT, as shown in the app and in Google Play. The purchase runs exclusively through Google Play. Under the Google Play Terms of Service (section 3, Purchases and Payments) you conclude the purchase contract for the subscription with Google Commerce Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. Google handles payment, billing, taxes, withdrawal and refunds. We provide the app's services, that is identifications, cloud sync and support. You exercise your statutory right of withdrawal for the subscription against Google Commerce Limited, for example with the withdrawal form or a refund request in Google Play (support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7659581); the app links this page under “Your plan”. The withdrawal period, its expiry and any proportionate amount for services already provided follow the law and the Google Play Terms of Service. After the first period the subscription renews automatically for an indefinite time, each time for the billing period you chose. You can cancel it at any time: in the app under Settings, “Cancel contracts here”, or in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; until then you can keep using the plan. For yearly plans you can also cancel with immediate effect at any time after the first year and request a pro-rata refund for the remaining days in Google Play. Termination for good cause is also possible in the app and ends the subscription at once. You can also cancel without signing in: on the app's sign-in screen (also in the web version), “Cancel contracts here” opens a form with name, the email address of your account, type of cancellation, plan and desired end (with the reason for a termination for good cause); the confirmation goes to the address of the account. A termination for good cause that you send without signing in only stops the renewal at first; we check the reason by hand and decide whether the subscription ends sooner. Within the withdrawal period you can also withdraw from the contract in the app under “Withdraw from a contract”. For every cancellation and withdrawal you receive an immediate email confirmation with its content and the date and time it arrived.

4a. One-time packs

Without a subscription you can buy a one-time pack of 10 identifications in the app. It is not a subscription and does not renew. The app shows price and scope before you buy; prices are final prices including VAT. As with subscriptions, you conclude the purchase contract through Google Play with Google Commerce Limited; we provide the identifications. Purchased identifications never expire. Unused identifications stay with your account for as long as it exists. They lapse when you delete the account; before that you can withdraw from the purchase within the withdrawal period. If you have a subscription, the app uses its monthly allowance first and the pack after that. Immediate start and withdrawal: before the purchase opens in Google Play you must tick a box: “I expressly request that LithoCanvas starts providing the 10 identifications immediately after purchase. I understand that my right of withdrawal ends once all 10 identifications are used.” Without this tick the purchase is not possible in the app. We store your consent with its time (privacy policy, Section 4.13). You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days in the app under “Withdraw from a contract” or towards Google Commerce Limited. If you ticked the box, the right of withdrawal ends once all 10 identifications are used (Sec. 356(5) of the German Civil Code); until then you can withdraw. If you withdraw in the app before all 10 are used, we trigger the refund of the full purchase price at Google Play, even if you have already used some identifications; the unused identifications lapse. If you did not agree before buying, for example with a purchase made on an older app version, using the identifications does not end the right of withdrawal. If a purchase is refunded, the pack's unused identifications lapse.

5. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Your data and the plan in your account are then deleted (see Privacy Policy, Section 6). Deleting does not cancel your Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play, otherwise it keeps renewing.

6. AI Results

Identification results are generated by an AI model and do not constitute certified mineralogical or art-historical appraisals. Confidence values are estimates, not guarantees.

6a. Prohibited Photos

Photos that show nudity or sexual content are not allowed. This also applies to artworks and to photos of artworks or statues. We check photos with an automated image model before they are saved. No person sees the photos in this process. If the check detects a prohibited photo, we do not save it, do not create a result and show you the reason. Your account is not affected. If the check cannot run, the photo is not saved; you can try again later. You can have any decision reviewed by a person: write to the email address in section 11 and attach the photo. We usually reply within two weeks. Details on data processing are in the privacy policy.

7. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and for fraudulently concealed defects and guarantees we have given. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties). These are obligations whose fulfilment makes the contract possible and on which you can regularly rely. In that case liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence. This also applies to our employees and vicarious agents.

8. Changes to the App and These Terms

We may change the app and its features beyond what is needed to keep it in conformity with the contract where there is a valid reason. Valid reasons are: technical development, security and bug fixing, changed requirements of Google Play or the operating system, changes to third-party services we use for the app, and changes in law. This causes you no additional cost. If a change affects your access to the app or its usability more than insignificantly, we will inform you within a reasonable time before the change, by email to your account address and additionally in the app, of the features and timing of the change and of your right to end the contract free of charge within 30 days. The period starts when the email reaches you; if the change takes effect only later, it starts on the date of the change. This right does not apply if you can keep using the unchanged product at no additional cost. Sections 327o and 327p of the German Civil Code apply to the termination and its consequences. We may change these terms for the future if there is a valid reason, such as a change in law or a new feature. A new version applies only if you expressly agree to it; the app shows it at the next start for that purpose. Silence or simply continuing to use the app does not count as agreement. If you do not agree, you can no longer use the app with your account. If you have a paid subscription, you can then end it with immediate effect, and we refund the paid but unused part pro rata. To do so, write to the email address in section 11. You can delete your account at any time. Prices of running subscriptions change only under Google Play's rules.

9. Governing Law

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected. Your statutory rights in case of defects in digital products (sections 327 ff. of the German Civil Code), including updates, remain unaffected.

10. Dispute Resolution

We are neither willing nor obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Consumers may contact the Federal Universal Arbitration Board: Zentrum für Schlichtung e. V., Straßburger Straße 8, 77694 Kehl am Rhein, www.universalschlichtungsstelle.de.

11. Contact

For questions about these terms and for notices of illegal content, please contact: kontakt@senorit.de. You can write to us in German or English. Please give the content concerned, your reasons and your email address in a notice.
